BITTERN

Recorded at Leighton Moss RSPB reserve in the 1970's. Bred again last year 2018 for the first time in many years.

CUMBRIAN EAGLE OWL

Shall not say where but it's not a recent recording.

HERRING GULL HEARTBEAT

An old Grampian DP6 position next to the scrape which the Gull decided to lay on.

OTTERS

Lucky to get this while photographing in Devon.

RED NECKED PHALAROPE

Charming birds doing their spinning top routine in a little pond at Store Ekkeroy, Norway.

GREEN SANDPIPER

This was recorded in Arctic Norway, but they are a regular visitor in winter at the nature reserve I manage in Cumbria.

A NORTHUMBERLAND COAST SOUNDSCAPE

Northumberland, what a lovely county of England, I visit as often as I can.

THE PERGRINE FALCON

The fastest bird in the world, now brought back from near oblivion in England. A magnificent bird to see and hear.

GRASSHOPPER WARBLER

The "chirring" bird of Summer evenings, that seems to be able to turn it's head through 360 degrees.

TEXEL ESTUARY

I was at an IBAC conference on Texel and every morning watched the sun come up, while recording many thousands of waders being pushed tighter together by the upcoming tide.

SIBERIAN JAY

I had spent the night on a bed of reindeer moss being covered with mosquitos all trying to get at my skin, when these Siberian Jay came through the ancient forest.
